Korean actor-singer Rain and Chinese actress Crystal Liu’s (Liu Yifei) upcoming Chinese film, Difficult Love (露水紅顏), previously known as Beauty’s Dew, will soon be premiering in theaters. This will be Rain’s first Chinese project. The film is adapted from a novel by Zhang Xiaohan, the director is Gao Xixi, a well known name in China.
Rain will be taking on the role of Xu Chengxu, a wealthy heir who disguises himself as a poor person to pursue a career in art. Crystal plays the role of Xing Lu, Xu Chengxu’s love interest. She is also a member of a fallen noble family.
Other cast includes Tiffany Tang, Xuebing Wang, Andy On, and Yanxi Li.
A clip of an interview with Gao Xixi showed a few scenes from the film. He also said the purpose of the film is for others to think about the question
“Is money important? Yes, it is, but does that mean people will just work hard for the money, or is there also something else to work hard towards? Once they face the difficulty of life and love, what will they do?”
He hopes for people to not be stuck in one mind set, they should expand themselves on the way they think.
Difficult Love will premiere in theaters all over Asia on November 11, 2014.
